Jordan Klepper Isn’t Kidding Around With This ‘Overt’ Elon Musk Takedown

“The Daily Show” host Jordan Klepper tore apart Elon Musk on Wednesday as Tesla dealerships, electric vehicles and charging stations face an increase in attacks over the billionaire’s role in President Donald Trump’s administration.

“Let me just say, nobody should be breaking the law and blowing up Teslas, especially because if you just wait a few minutes they’ll probably do it by themselves,” Klepper quipped.

Americans’ anger toward Musk as he slashes federal jobs and programs in an attempt to cut spending has led to a spike in arson and vandalism targeting his company.

Klepper noted that some people have been “leaving helpful messages” behind about their ire with the billionaire before turning to a news clip from CBS’s San Diego affiliate showing a vandalized Tesla dealership in Encinitas, California.

A reporter’s voice in the clip said the words and images in the video were obscured because they were “too graphic to show in its entirety,” but they weren’t totally blurred, as the word “NAZI” followed by “CUM” (what was left of a partially obscured “SCUM”) still appeared.

“Uh,” said Klepper, who paused as the crowd laughed at the not-so-censored “NAZI CUM” message.

“I think you might have wanted to blur out a little more there because — now it just looks like they just wrote, I mean.”

He continued, “Obviously, Elon has a lot of kids so he’s got a lot of, you know but — you don’t have to be so overt.”
