Jharkhand’s Dhruv Shaurya Becomes Godda Topper In ICSE Class 10 Board Exams

The ICSE announced the results for the 10th and 12th board examinations on May 6. The announcement brought a wave of immense joy to many households. The list also includes the name Dhruv Shaurya, a class 10th student who made his family proud with his hard work and determination.

Dhruv Shaurya is a student of the Mount Assisi School in Poreyahat, Godda district, Jharkhand. Local18 reports exclusively that he scored 98 per cent in his 10th ICSE board examinations, securing the first position in the whole district. Dhruv’s whole family as well as the whole district are sharing their congratulations with the young man.

Belonging to a middle-class family, he is the son of Anupam Prakash, a lawyer at the Godda court, while his mother Neetu Devi is a housewife. He also has a younger sister named Tanvi Shruti, who is currently studying in sixth standard.

Talking to Local18, Dhruv revealed that even though the result came out in the afternoon, it was not until evening he discovered that he was the district topper. He was only told by his school’s principal about the achievement. According to him, he devoted five to six hours to his studies regularly, during exam days. Whatever subject he sat down to study, he only stopped after completing it. This greatly helped him secure such a high number in all the subjects.

Speaking further, he said that his goal is to become a scientist in the future. For now, he plans to stay in the district and continue his studies. After enrolling in the science stream in 11th, he would start his preparation for JEE. Father Jamon Philip from Dhruv’s school mentioned that he has been a bright student since class 5th. He added that Dhruv not only made his family proud but also his school and the district.
