ICSE Results 2024: Jharkhand’s Raja Kumar Becomes Koderma Topper With 97.2% Marks

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the results for the ICSE ISC high school and board exams 2024. A total of 1,30,506 boys and 1,13,111 girls appeared for the ICSE high school examination. In this, a total of 1,29,612 boys and 1,12,716 girls passed the test.
Raja Kumar, a student of St. Clair’s School Lokai, a school in the Koderma district of Jharkhand, has become the district topper by scoring 97.2 per cent marks in Class 10. He has scored full marks in Computer Science subject. Raja Kumar is the son of the late Umesh Chandra Sao and Guddi Devi. He is a resident of Jalwabad, Koderma.
While talking to Local18, Raja Kumar said that he achieved success due to stress-free studies and proper time management. He said that he focused on self-study which he used to do after coming from school. However, after getting preparatory leave from the school for a month, Raja Kumar prepared for the board exam by self-studying for about 6 hours a day. Raja Kumar claims that he has not taken the help of any kind of coaching or online study material.
Raja Kumar said that he consumes social media very little. Before the board exams, he solved the previous year’s board question papers from the year 2019 to 2023. It helped him to get acquainted with the pattern of the board examination and develop his skill of writing answers properly. It proved to be extremely helpful to him in the exams. He got 95 marks in English, 95 in Mathematics, 100 in Computer Science, 98 in Social Science, 98 in Science and 92 marks in optional subject Hindi.
Raja Kumar said that he aspires to become an IAS officer after qualifying for the UPSC exams. Along with the 12th Board exams, Raja Kumar is also preparing for JEE Main. His goal is to pursue engineering in Computer Science at IIT by securing a better rank in the first attempt.
Since the financial condition of the house was not good, he was given an exemption in tuition fees by the school. Only transportation fees were charged by the school from class four to class ten.
