The Commissionerate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh will commence the state NEET UG 2025 Round 1 counselling registration today, July 29. Candidates who have scored above the NEET UG cut-off are eligible to apply. Participation in the counselling is mandatory for those seeking admission to top medical colleges, as it determines eligibility for a seat in your preferred institution. Eligible and interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website at cgdme.in.
The Chhattisgarh NEET UG counselling process comprises four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. Applicants must complete several steps, including registration, fee payment, choice filling and locking, publication of the merit list, seat assignment, and final reporting to the designated institutes for admission.
Chhattisgarh NEET UG Counselling 2025: Schedule
The last date to register is August 4. The choice filling and locking facility will be available till August 5. The merit list will be published on August 6 and the first seat allotment list will be issued on August 8. The admission process will be held between August 9 to 14.
Round 2 will commence on August 18 with the second seat allotment list slated to be out on August 28. The mop-up round will begin on September 8 and the stray vacancy round on September 24.
Chhattisgarh NEET UG Counselling 2025: How To Apply
Step 1: Visit the official website at cgdme.in.
Step 2: Click on the NEET UG Medical Counselling 2025 section on the homepage and register yourself.
Step 3: Fill in the required details, create a password, and submit the registration form.
Step 4: Pay the registration fee online and save the confirmation page.
Step 5: Download the acknowledgement page and take a printout for future use.
Chhattisgarh NEET UG Counselling 2025: Documents Required
Candidates must ensure they have the following documents ready for the admission process:
— NEET UG 2025 admit card and scorecard
— Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates
— Birth certificate (if not mentioned in Class 10 certificate)
— Category certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates, if applicable)
— Domicile certificate (for State Quota seats)
— Passport-size photographs (same as uploaded in NEET application)
— Migration certificate (if applicable)
— Medical fitness certificate
This year, over 12 lakh students have qualified in the NEET UG exam. These candidates are now competing for around 1.15 lakh MBBS seats available across India in various government and private medical colleges.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts NEET UG counselling for admissions to MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), and other allied medical courses under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ). These seats are available in government medical and dental colleges across India. The remaining 85% of seats are filled through state-level counselling, which is handled by the respective state authorities based on candidates’ NEET UG scores.
