Britney Spears Told Fans She Adopted A ‘Beautiful’ Baby Girl. Here’s What We Know.

Britney Spears knows what gets people talking.

On Saturday, the pop star posted one of her signature at-home dance videos to Instagram along with a caption where she announced she had “adopted a beautiful baby girl” named Lennon London Spears.

“Lennon today has on adorable dress!!” Spears wrote in the post. “It says I’m NEW HERE !!!”

The rest of her caption ping-ponged between reflections on her workout regimen, claiming she was moving to Italy and asking, “stop talking trash America !!!”

Though the post raised quite a few eyebrows, multiple outlets have since confirmed that Spears was trolling fans with the adoption announcement.

To be fair, the winking and goofy face emojis scattered throughout the post should have been a tell.

HuffPost has reached out to Spears’ representatives for comment.

Though the “Stronger” singer doesn’t have a new kid in her life, she already shares two grown sons named Sean Federline, 20, and Jayden Federline, 18, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

While she lost primary custody of the boys during her conservatorship struggle, Spears has since been rebuilding her relationship with her children.

Last month, the singer shared a photo of herself with Jaden after going to church together. In the caption, she marveled at how much he’d grown up and called herself “blessed.”

In November 2024, an insider also told People magazine that Spears had been seeing her sons more often and that “spending time together has made her happy.”
